Changes to Vastuu Group's General Terms of Service and Special Terms and Conditions 11 December 2024

Vastuu Group is making changes to its services, and, as a result, the General Terms of Service as well as the Special Terms and Conditions will be updated. The key changes to the services are as follows:

  • At the beginning of 2025, Vastuu Group will make it possible for its customers to order third-party training services directly through the Employee Management and Valtti+ services.
  • The Taito Competence Register service for customers and the related TaitoValttiAPI interface will be closed at the end of 2024. The Taito Competence Register service will be replaced by the previously launched Valtti+ service, as well as the Valtti+ Customer Specific Competences service, which is designed for managing company-specific training and competences.
  • In the Valtti+ Customer Specific Competences service, customers can manage, for example, the worksite safety induction data for their own construction sites and check via the Valtti+ Tarkastaja service or interface that the required customer-specific inductions have been completed on site.

The following changes have been made to Vastuu Group's General Terms of Service and Special Terms and Conditions:

  • Section 2.4 of the General Terms of Service has been amended to allow the supplier to offer customers third-party services for subscription through the supplier's services. In such cases, the agreement is formed directly between the customer and the third party, and the third party is responsible for delivering the service to the customer. Such services may include, for example, training services and certain credit information services.
  • Terms describing the supplier’s processing of personal data as a data controller for the purpose of providing and managing the service included in Sections 3.3 and 3.4 of the special terms for personal data processing have been incorporated as a new section 10.4 in the General Terms of Service. The previous section 10.3 of the General Terms of Service related to the same matter has been merged into the new section 10.4.
  • The General Terms have been updated with a new section 13.5, which specifies that any claims under section 13.1 must be submitted without undue delay and, in any case, no later than one year after the damage has been discovered or should have been discovered.
  • Section 1.1 of the Special Terms for the Processing of Personal Data has been clarified to ensure that the list includes all services where the supplier processes personal data on behalf of the customer as a processor.
  • Sections 3.2 and 3.3 of the Special Terms for the Processing of Personal Data have been refined to clarify which personal data the supplier processes on behalf of the customer.
  • Section 13.2 of the Special Terms for the Processing of Personal Data has been updated to reflect the supplier's new address.
  • Sections 5.3 and 5.4 of the Special Terms for the Employee Management Service has been amended so that a correction request can only be sent to the email address of the contact person designated by the customer for this service.
  • References to the Taitorekisteri service have been removed or updated to correspond to replacement services in the following sections: Section 3.5 of the Special Terms for the Employee Management Service; Sections 2.3, 3.4, 4.1, and 5 of the Special Terms for the Valtti+ service
  • New service-specific Special Terms have been added for the Valtti+ Customer-Specific Competences service.
  • The service-specific Special Terms for the Taitorekisteri service have been removed.

The amended terms and conditions have been published, and you can review them here. The amended terms and conditions shall apply to the new services immediately and to other services starting as of 11 January 2025.

Customers using other services will not be affected by the change to the terms and conditions.
